Survived the first day back.

Well first day back and everything was extremely swamped. Labor Day Weekend and last minute school shoppers messing up dressing rooms…. ugh! I bet tomorrow will be absolute hell… Good thing it’s Friday already.

I just got done watching Bleach (have to get my weekly fix), and finished a taco salad. Having some raspberry earl gray tea to wash it all down.

I’m debating if I should get a shower out of the way or take a bath… Hmmmm. I haven’t had much tea to drink yet, so perhaps a bath…

Saturday Morning Open Thread

Well, I have all my shit together for tomorrow afternoon. Now I can start my new job again with a clear head. I don”t seem to have anything to take to work for lunch unfortunately. Well wait… I think I have some sandvich supplies.

On another note my exotic tea arrived today. I have some peach ginger, raspberry earl, coconut chai, gypsy rose, dry desert lime, and red velvet chocolate. Odd assortment I know, and I have an assload of tea as it is, but I  really go through the stuff like no tomorrow. Like right now I’m on the 3rd brewing of my green jasmine flowering tea. Tis very nom.

Open Thread

Well, today I got to try out the new steam UI along with everyone else! I can see where there might be some room for improvement, but overall I like the new features. I like looking at the friends list and seeing all the content, and looking at gaming hubs to see what everyone’s up to. Then there’s the usergroups. I played around a bit with some of them. Now the slackers group has a listing of most of what we specialize in multiplayer-wise. Then there’s the forums and subforums. I’ll use them for SNews but not so much for the regular Slackers group (since we have our own).

Sunday Morning Open Thread

Today was my final day. All my former co workers said they will miss my total randomness. Now I get to terrorize the ladies. Mwahahahaha.

Been working on an SFM animated project. Not sure if I’ll be able to release it though, every time I try to render it the audio turns to suck. Then I try to sync the audio up in adobe, but no matter what the audio is always off by a few seconds (while in premiere it looks perfect). Grrrr… I tried rendering it without the audio as a TGA sequence but that reduces the amount of time in the video, and that’s with or without the audio enabled.

Saturday Morning Open Thread

Started my new job today (and tomorrow I end my old one). Things went rather smoothly. Felt nice going in to work not having to abide by the dress code. Things in the new dept are a lot more laid back clothing wise. I went Hawaiian today and it was awesome.

Super Early Open Thread

Immediately started my day on a good foot. Went out for a walk and made an appointment to get my hair recolored on the 23rd. Then I came home and decided to clean off the top of my dresser so I could actually see everything (plus light some incense, was feeling peaceful today). Reorganized some cosmetic supplies and laid out my work uniform for later today. So I’m of sound mind.

Also helped guide a friend through building their own linux dedicated TF2 server. They must have done something right because the moment they put it up people connected… lol.

Also relived some of my childhood with some Animaniacs episodes with Yutram who never really fully watched them before. Those cartoons never get old for me.

Damn, forgot to make something for lunch later today… I guess I’ll wing it again.

Sunday Morning Open Thread

Had an early start on work today. Went in a couple hours early and actually had a pretty good day. Tonight and last night I’ve been doing some after shopping. Why? I have a bunch of stuff falling a part and it’s time to get rid of my worn out pants, shirts, and other things. I still need to do some replacement sneaker shopping too.

Need to get to bed earlier tonight, got an earlier workday to prepare for (for the rest of the week actually). Already have my work stuff laid out for me. Didn’t have much time to prepare a lunch, but I think I can wing it.

Got through another hard night of work. Brought home some more special chicken sausages (bacon and pineapple), haven’t tried them yet. But I have one prepped to bring to lunch later today.

Well, news is spreading around work that I’ll be moving departments. People are rather shocked by it. They were even more shocked when I told them how I went about getting the position.

Now it’s my weekend. Time to kick back.
